In 2012, Arteaga was designated as a Magic Town. Located 15 minutes from Saltillo, Arteaga is an important apple producer nationwide. While in Arteaga, you can enjoy the beautiful landscape of the Sierra Madre Oriental, which is considered the Switzerland of Mexico for its beauty, its wooded landscapes and snowy peaks in winter. Its visitors are left with a postcard memory of its natural landscapes. Arteaga is visited by a large number of tourists who practice adventure sports such as mountain biking, road cycling, and rappelling among others. Here you can find “Bosques de Monterreal”, a tourist resort considered unique in Latin America for having an artificial ski slope. The highest golf course in México is located in Arteaga, boasts an elevation of more than 2600 meters over sea level. The resort’s facilities offer meeting spaces that hold up to 400 people, cabins for 2 to 12 people, as well as a series of adventure activities that you can enjoy in the mountains of Arteaga.

This municipality has a population of 25,544 inhabitants, who mainly engage in agricultural activities. Its climate is temperate, with an average temperature of 15º to 21º Celsius.
