Saltillo stomps worldwide with Guinness Record

In its 444th Anniversary, our city rewrites its name in the prestigious book of records with the great State Matlachinada, certified as the largest dance of its kind in the world.

The dance was performed within the framework of the International Festival of Culture of Saltillo. For five minutes, 653 dancers, belonging to 73 different groups from all over the state, performed a perfectly synchronized choreography and thus leave their mark immortalized.

“We are happy that a tradition that, year after year, reminds us of our historical and cultural greatness, is recognized internationally. Thanks to the Guinness Book of Records for taking us into account, it is a great pride for us ”, declared Manolo Jiménez Salinas, mayor of Saltillo.
